The UK RagaMuffin Cat Society was set up to promote and protect the 'Authentic' RagaMuffin cat here in the UK and we are dedicated to preserving the health, temperament, size and original colours of the breed. The UKRMCS unifies all those who breed, own or just love the 'Authentic' RagaMuffin Cat. Its breeders are dedicated to breeding the finest and healthiest cats available... the RagaMuffin! Our breeders are highly ethical people who are willing to stand behind their cats and their breeding practices as evidenced by signing and abiding by a strict code of ethics.
Only RagaMuffin breeders who agree to practice under UKRMCS's high standards are accepted as members. Each breeder is encouraged to develop a detailed contract, which
addresses all aspects of purchasing a RagaMuffin, so that both the buyer and seller are fully aware of their responsibilities. If you have been searching for cat organizations, cat associations, RagaMuffin association or a cat rescue organization; we are a unifying group for all recognized 'Authentic' RagaMuffin cat breeders and the "official" group for all those who love RagaMuffin catteries, RagaMuffin cats and RagaMuffin Kittens.
We are affiliated with The RagaMuffin Associated Group (RAG) in the United States of America. RAG is the original breed club begun by those who founded the Ragamuffin breed in 1994.
Janet Klarmann, our patron has this message for all in the UK: '......Speaking both for myself and the RagaMuffin Community, I'd like to convey our pleasure that the RagaMuffin Breed is taking root in the United Kingdom. With the care and nurturing of The UK RagaMuffin Club, it will flourish and prosper, giving those living in the UK the joy of the RagaMuffin Breed!....'

The United Kingdom RagaMuffin Cat Society are thrilled to announce that, at the Executive meeting held on 18th March 2009, it was agreed that the RagaMuffin name would be recognised by the Governing Council of The Cat Fancy. It had taken many weeks for the application to be put together, and with help from, amongst others, Mrs Anne Gregory and Mrs Frances Peace, it sailed through with no amendments being asked for by the Executive Committee.
We have also had recent confirmation that the breed number allocated for the RagaMuffin will be 60.
Registrations can now be submitted and The RagaMuffin will be able to be shown on exhibition at shows around the country with immediate effect once the registrations are in place. Certified pedigrees will need to accompany the Registration Applications. If registering any imported cats AFTER 1st June 2009, all Certified Pedigrees will be returned by the GCCF Office.
